2. Advanced Training in Marine MechanicalFitter (6Months)
Basic Qualification Diploma, ITI, ITC or equivalent
3. Welding Course (1 year)
Basic Qualification 8th STD pass
4. Welding Course 6 months)
Basic Qualification 8th STD pass

INTAKES

The admission start from the month of April and closing onOctober. The strength of each class is arranged in a goodmanner, so that each student gets good attention from the teachers.

LAB FACILITY

College of Marine Technology has wide and well equippedworkshop facility for the students. College of Marine Technology'spractical training centre is situated at the heart of Kochi townwhich is easily accessible through road, rail &water. The Collegeprovidesseparate labs for each work fittings, pumps, valves,machine shop welding, pipe&pipe fittings, heat engins, Marine electrical equipments Marine electronic equipments are placedin separate labs for the convenience of the students.

ACTIVITIES (Sports & Arts)

In the modern educational method a student give equal importance to sports &arts. These activities help them in developing their personality & even help in interacting with others during their job period. College conduct programmes

PRACTICAL CLASSES

Students who are admitted for the course have one year of practical class. The first year will be theory and the next yearor the final year students are, provided with practical classes. Each student get special attention from the instructor otherthan being a traineestudent is moulded to be a worker. Students strictly wear prescribed uniform with shoes and helmet on all working days. The Batches for practical classes are divided into morning &afternoon sections. After the classes adequate assignments &exams are given to evaluate the students.

CLASS ROOMS

The college comprises of well-furnished class-room with all the amenities ,a prolific library to meet the demands of the discerning students and state-of the art workshops to its credit college provide labs with all types of Machineries including Big &Small where a team of qualified and diligent faculty makes the circuit more active and vibrant. A well-furnished library that provides amazing volumes of general and current books and periodicals, which deals at length with ships, ship construction, ship repairing, shipping industries and general knowledge.
COURSE STRUCTURE
By a pro-active and complimentary blend of the theoretical and practical methodology, the College of Marine Technology trains students in the adept repairing and maintenance of ship. A band of diligent and skilful personnel comprising of qualifiedMarine Engineers and Instructors duly fulfill their duties of imparting the educational curriculum to the yearling students.
STUDY HOURS
Strict and specific study hours are made to practice to facilitate students to cover the daily subjects and to complete the assignments besides normal training time.

DURATION OF THE COURSE/CERTIFICATES

Diploma in Marine Mechanical Fitter (2 Year) : ABSIV Certificate, STED Council Diploma Certificate, Course Certificate, X-ray welding certificates will be awarded to the winning students after their final examination and no other certificate will be issued. Failed students are not eligible for ABSIV and STED Council Diploma Certificate and they are eligible only for course certificate and Welding certificate. Advanced Training in Marine Mechanical Fitter(6Months): Advanced Diploma certificate from ABSIV andcourse certificate from College of Marine Technologies.Welding Courses (1 year/6 months): Weldingcertificates will be issued to the winning students approvedby American Welding Society (AWS) including test card.Trade Test for Skilled workers in Marine Mechanic and various trades. Certificates issued by NCVT Govt of Indiaunder the MES Scheme of DGET Ministry of Labour and employment (This is applicable only for skilled workers who have experienced in their respective trades. This is not applicable for students)

CLASS TIMING

Class timing full time/ half time according to their syllabus. The College Principal is the full authority to change the class timing according to lesson covered or any other reason.

Wholehearted efforts for securing good jobs are offered to successful and promising students from the college management with employment cell. JOB IS NOT GUARANTEED.HOSTEL Outstation students can avail the Hostel at college premises.It provides a fine accommodation with all the amenities ranging from bath-attached rooms, sit-out, balcony, furniture and of course a superb mess facility. Appointed well experienced hostel warden for looking after and discipline of the students to get them homely feelings.
